We've learned more from this founding group in five months than in the two years before it. And based on what we've learned, we've made the decision to sunset the legacy CRE Agents platform and replace it with a CRE Agents "connector" that lives in any AI. Effective September 30, the standalone CRE Agents platform you log into will shut down, while all CRE Agents capabilities (15 task catalogs, 550+ tasks, 200+ skills, and 27 real estate datasets) have moved permanently inside the AI platform you already use, whether Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Manus, OpenClaw, etc. That decision is 100% because of your feedback. Nearly every meaningful decision we've made since March traces back to a conversation with one of you. You told us what you wanted and then told us when we got it wrong. That's the whole reason the next version is what it is. The clearest thing you taught us was where the work actually happens. Increasingly, I kept seeing the same motion: you'd be mid-thought in Claude or ChatGPT, stop, open a tab, log into our platform, run a task, download a file, and go back. While CRE Agents capabilities are powerful, we had introduced unnecessary friction in your process. So we rebuilt CRE Agents to live in any AI. CRE Agents now runs inside the AI platform you already use. Once connected, simply say "Use Vic" or "Use CRE Agents" and your Claude or your Perplexity will turn to CRE Agents to perform real estate specific tasks or pull real estate specific data, making it significantly better, faster, and cheaper at doing nuanced real estate work. Allow me to spend the rest of this letter elaborating on this shift and why it's better for you: Start with what your AI is missing. Platforms like Claude or ChatGPT are extraordinary generalists that know nothing about our world. They don't know the idiosyncrasies of RealPage vs. Yardi rent rolls, the line-item by line-item nuances necessary to build a defensible stabilized NOI for a grocery-anchored asset, nor do they have access to deep real estate data like property tax records or rent comps. Connecting CRE Agents closes the intelligence gap, making your AI fluent in commercial real estate and handing it proprietary data it cannot otherwise reach on its own. Second, it flattens the prompt engineering learning curve. The reason two people get wildly different output from the same AI is that one of them is better at instructing AI. Our tasks carry the instructions, methodology (i.e., agent skills), and real estate data inside them, so the quality of what comes back greatly improves. For instance, you might tell Claude to "Use Vic to build a stabilized NOI for this deal" and hand Claude a T12 and rent roll. Vic/CRE Agents figuratively joins the conversation to tell your AI how to map the T12 to a property type specific chart of accounts, how to organize the rent roll and build a rent schedule / unit mix table, how to build a line-by-line stabilized pro forma, what benchmark assumptions to use as rules of thumb to fill gaps before asking for your feedback, how to format and build the Excel file, etc. Third, and don't underestimate this one: CRE Agents + your own AI tools are so much more powerful together than apart. On the old platform we were walled off from the rest of your work. Today a single session can automatically pull an OM out of your inbox, run our deal screen task against it, leverage your Airtable comp database, drop a finished Excel model in your Drive, and update your unique pipeline report. CRE Agents tasks no longer sit in isolation. Fourth, using CRE Agents makes your AI usage cheaper. Open-ended chat gets more expensive as the thread grows, because every turn re-reads everything before it. A structured task or series of tasks collapse that into fewer passes with a defined output. You get a predictable cost per deliverable instead of a meter that spins faster the longer you think out loud. And last, CRE Agents grows with you as the AI world changes. CRE Agents is now fully model and tool agnostic. Want to use both Perplexity and Claude? CRE Agents joins you in both. Curious about spinning up an autonomous OpenClaw or Hermes agent? Give them CRE Agents to use as their real estate playbook. Need the next big AI platform to be smart in CRE? CRE Agents will be able to work in it, no matter what the next big thing in AI is! And the feedback from the early users of the CRE Agents connector has been overwhelmingly positive, settling in our minds that this is the best way forward. Now to logistics. Your billing on the legacy platform has stopped. You will not be charged again while full legacy platform access remains available to you until September 30. Whether you opt-in to use the new CRE Agents or not is your call. This is a different product on a different system, so I can't carry your account across. Opting in to this new CRE Agents is a decision you must make. I'd love to have you continue as a CRE Agents client, but completely understand if you choose
